People are being given the chance to nominate their choice for Citizen of the Year.
Nominations can be submitted for anyone living in Ongar who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the community.
There is also an award for Young Citizen of the Year.
Diana Roberts, Chair of Ongar Town Council, said: “There are a lot of people who give their time and effort for the benefit of the community with little or no reward.
“These Awards provide residents with the opportunity to recognise their efforts and give them the thanks they deserve.”
Nominations can be submitted to the town clerk and the winners will be invited to the Annual Town Meeting on April 16 to receive their awards.
