A date has been set for the trial of man accused of killing his girlfriend in front of her three-year-old daughter.
David Gikawa, 38, is charged with stabbing 29-year-old Linah Keza to death at the home they shared in King Edward Road, Leyton, on July 31.
Miss Keza, a model and former Miss Africa contestant, was found with stab wounds to her chest and pronounced dead at the scene at around 4.30am.
Gikawa, a Ugandan national with indefinite leave to remain in the UK, has not entered a plea and is due to stand trial on April 22 next year.
