The proposed development of a section of historic cricket ground will be discussed at a public meeting.
The section of Leyton Sports Ground, also known as Leyton County Cricket Ground, which is between Brewster Road and high Road, Leyton, could be converted for other sports.
The issue will be discussed at a meeting of Leyton Residents Forum on December 5 and members of the ground’s management committee will be present.
The ground has been used for cricket since the early 19th century and the pavilion was built in 1886.
It was the headquarters of Essex County Cricket Club until 1933.
Essex beat the touring Australian side on the ground in 1905.
The meeting takes place at the Score Centre in Oliver Road, Leyton, from 7pm.
