Police investigations into a collision between two buses in Epping yesterday afternoon that left three people seriously injured continue today.
Fire crews, police and the ambulance service were called to the scene on the B181, Epping Road, near the junction of Coopersale Common Road at 4.27pm.
The incident involved a school bus and a local commercial service.
Essex police said this morning they expect to release more information today.
They are yet to reveal what they believe caused the crash.
The driver of the commercial bus was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital by air ambulance with injuries that are thought to be life-changing.
A teenage girl who was on the school bus was trapped inside the vehicle.
She was later taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) in Harlow for treatment to serious injuries.
A second pupil was also taken to PAH with serious injuries.
No information has been released about the identities of the injured people yet.
The road reopened shortly after 11pm.
Police continue to appeal for witnesses to the collision.
