The driver of a bus which crashed into another bus carrying schoolchildren is in a critical condition.
The man from Harlow was flown by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge after the collision in Epping Road, Coopersale, yesterday.
His injuries were described as 'life-changing' by police yesterday.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses following the incident, which left a teenage girl trapped on a bus on her way home from Ingatestone Anglo-European School.
Two schoolgirls, who were taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, have both been allowed home after treatment.
A woman in her 80s, who was on the passenger bus and suffered a facial injury, was also discharged.
Epping Road was closed until about 11pm while the damaged buses were removed and police carried out investigations.
