A plan to switch off street lights at night has been delayed.
Essex County Council said the start date for the scheme in Epping Forest has been put back five days to December 9.
Councillor Rodney Bass, cabinet member for highways, said: “We have moved the start date for part-night lighting in Epping Forest and Castle Point by a week, to give residents and local councillors the opportunity to view the plans before they go live."
High streets and major routes will not be included in the switch off, which is aimed at saving money.
