The school which educated TOWIE star Joey Essex has refused to comment on his apparent inability to master basic skills.

The former West Hatch High School pupil, 23, is currently taking part in ITVs “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here” and is the bookies favourite to win.

Since the show begun on Sunday, Mr Essex has claimed he cannot tell the time or blow his nose.
But his former school has refused to comment on his education.

Headteacher Frances Howarth said: “During his time at West Hatch Secondary School Joey Essex was a warm, friendly and likeable pupil.

“However for reasons of confidentiality we are not willing to comment on an individual’s time at the school.

“We wish Joey lots of luck in the current series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! and with the rest of his career.”

I am sure they would be commenting if he was at the other end of the education scale. He is an embarrassment to himself, his school and anyone who knows him. Anyone can make people laugh by being a complete and utter idiot, self-depreciation always does get a few giggles, and that along with his fake tanning, and those ridiculous veneers, means he is nothing more than a modern day court jester.

I worry that the children of Essex will see this as being acceptable and a way of being popular and becoming famous. Although at the moment some people think of him as funny, in the not too distant future, he will become annoying and viewed as pathetic as he plays on his low IQ and humiliates himself more and more. His complete lack of an education and of life in general will be his downfall, just one stray comment about any sensitive subject, and he will simply be cattle fodder, game over, and will become just a public embarrassment. It will happen, mark my words.
