Three men have been placed in a young offenders' institution for their part in a sustained attack on a 21-year-old.

George Saitch, 27, of Aldridge Way in Chingford, was sentenced to two years and three months in prison for GBH and will serve a consecutive three-month sentence for assault by beating.

The three launched a viscious attack on Jamie Flory in Kings Road, Chingford, in the early hours of August 25 last year.

He was beaten and his head stamped on, causing fractures to his eye socket, damage to his eyesight and chipped teeth.

Mr Flory managed to briefly escape from his attackers, but they pursued him and attacked him again.

Laura White, a friend of Mr Flory, was assaulted by Saitch as she tried to protect him, suffering severe bruising to her head.

The men denied causing grevious bodily harm with intent, causing grevious bodily harm, and assault by beating.
