Santa is set to attend a special fundraising event in aid of a children's hospice.

More than 50 volunteers from the Community Fundraising Committee for Haven House have organised the Christmas fayre, to be held on Sunday at Woodford County High School, in High Road, Woodford Green.

Visitors will get to meet Santa, enjoy in food, treat themselves to a pamper session, buy Christmas presents and have their future told by a tarot reader.

Committee Chairwoman, Heulwen Evans, 45, has been volunteering with Haven House for three years.

She said: "The hospice is something that is very close to my heart.

"The work that they do is incredibly important, and tomorrow is about creating awareness for the hospice, as I meet so many people that do not know it exists."

The fair is from 12pm til 4pm, and there is a suggested entry donation of £2 for adults and £1 for children.
