A £10,000 reward has been offered for any information leading to the capture of a convicted murderer who escaped from a mental health unit.

Lerone Boye, 27, absconded from the John Howard Centre in Kenworthy Road, Homerton, on October 16 after being sentenced in December 2012 for the murder of teenager Kelvin Chibueze in Ilford.

The 17-year-old was chased and stabbed after a fight broke out at a party at the Arteflex Club, Ilford, on August 15, 2011.

Boye is described as black, 5ft 10ins, with a slim build, short hair and a goatee beard.

He also has a distinctive horseshoe shape scar on his right cheek and a gold tooth in his upper row of teeth.

When he was last seen Boye was wearing a grey or blue sweatshirt with a grey vest over the top and was wearing grey jogging bottoms.

Police have warned the public not to approach Boye and suspect he may still be in the east London.
