A live chat-show for young people has launched in Walthamstow.
Filmed in front of a live audience and broadcast across the UK, the programme, Strait Talk, gives those aged between 14 and 25 the chance to pick up media skills while filming and producing the show, as well as learning about lighting, audio and TV presenting.
Organised by Hackney-based Youth Skills Network the workshops, at the Outset Centre in Grange Road, Walthamstow, aim to help people not in work or formal training engage with the community in a unique way.
Youth Skills Network founder Andy Fraser said: “After the riots young people felt their voices weren’t being heard, so that is why we set this up.”
