A total of 8,000 litres of diesel were stolen from a coach company in an overnight raid.

CCTV images show thieves targeting Dan’s Luxury Travel in Maybank Road, South Woodford, last night.

The footage features a large vehicle pulling up outside the firm’s premises and several people connecting pipes to the company’s diesel supply.

Managing director, Dan Brown, said it is the fourth time in 15 years that fuel has been stolen from the company.

He believes it will cost him up to £15,000 in losses.

“I am extremely angry about the situation and am at a loss about what to do. The last few times this has happened nobody was ever caught,” he said.

“I am going to have to pay out extra time to drivers, I have had to order extra fuel to make up for the loss and pay for repairs to the pipes which they cut when they stole the diesel.

“I had just come back from holiday when I got a call this morning about what had happened. They took all the diesel we had on site.”

The Guardian is awaiting comment from the police.
