A man who sent anti-Semitic Twitter messages on the day West Ham United played Tottenham Hotspur has been cautioned by police.
The 55-year-old, who has not been named, was arrested this morning at his home in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, on suspicion of malicious communications.
The man had sent a number of messages on October 6 referencing Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust.
The Met launched an investigation after receiving a complaint.
Officers also found messages from his account which were abusive to, and incited violence against, Muslims.
He was taken to into custody at a north London police station where he was issued with a caution.
The account, @pienmashgeezer, has been suspended.
