The public is being warned about a high level of so-called ‘crash for cash’ scams.

Organised criminal gangs across the UK have been deliberately staging accidents to make fraudulent insurance claims.

Ilford has been placed in the top 20 areas in the country where the crime is believed to be most prevalent, according to the Insurance Fraud Bureau.
