A record number of children performed as part of a Christmas lights switch-on.
Revellers attending Debden Broadway’s annual Christmas lights switch-on saw a record 51 choristers performing at the event from six schools around the area.
Also present at Friday’s party were town Mayor Jill Angold-Stephens and her husband on a horse drawn carriage accompanied by Mr and Mrs Christmas, Percy penguin and Frosty the Snowman.
Organiser Dave Stannard said: "It was a fantastic event we had more choristers than ever.
"I would like to thank all those who took part and all those who came to watch."
