A mother has added £18,000 to a massive fundraising effort for the children’s hospice which cared for her daughter, who died aged eight.
Mel Fields, 40, of Darnley Road in Woodford Green, organised Molly Field Production’s One Moment in Time’ in honour of Molly, who died from a brain tumour in 2010.
And after Mrs Field’s latest event, she has now collected nearly £73,000 for Haven House in High Road, Woodford Green.
The show featured a number of songs from hit West End musicals performed by volunteers from Raw Youth Theatre Group at Forest School in Walthamstow on Saturday and Churchfields School in South Woodford.
Mrs Fields said: “Thank you to all who gave up their time to put the show together, it really was a very special evening, and I’m so pleased that we are able to keep Molly’s memory alive with these events.”
Haven House Chief Executive, Mike Palfreman added: “Mel’s support of Haven House is nothing short of amazing.”
