Burglars left empty handed after breaking into a school.

Police were called to Valentines High School in Cranbrook Road, Ilford, at 2:50am on Saturday following reports of a burglary.

Five men seen climbing the gates of the school then damaging doors to gain entry to a classroom.

Nothing was taken during the break-in, and no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police or call Crimestoppers anonymously.

Had the Police arrived in the nick of time they may have had a chance to catch them read handed but were probably parked up asleep somewhere or playing snooker in their canteen.
