Police have released CCTV footage of a burglary at a business centre which has been repeatedly targeted by thieves.

The public is being asked to help identify two men who broke into Proleads at the Acacia Business Centre in Howard Road, Leytonstone, on November 18 at around 10:30pm.

The gained entry by smashing a hole in the wall using a lump-hammer.

Once inside, the pair are filmed walking around until one of them gets close to a camera and sets off the alarm.

They then leave after stealing a camcorder, but one of the men is filmed returning at around 4am, although nothing else is taken.

There has been a string of break-ins and attempted burglaries at the centre in recent weeks.

In a seperate incident captured on CCTV five days earlier, men were filmed using a van to crash through shutters and steal £10,000 worth of tools.

According to Brian Johnson, who runs East London Printers from a unit in Howard Road, thieves are making nightly checks on businesses in the area to see if shutters and gates are secured.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.
