A mother-of-two has shed an impressive nearly seven stone after health fears during pregnancy.

In just more than a year Hayley Riglin, 24, has dropped from 16st 10.5lb to 9st 12lb.

She gave birth to her first child after 29 weeks in June 2008 due to complications related to her weight.

She was then diagnosed with ‘pregnancy diabetes’ while expected her second child, which resulted in an early labour.

Following the birth of her second son in July 2011, Mrs Riglin, of Covert Road in Hainault, decided to seek help to change her life.

She said: “They had to break my waters early because it was dangerous to carry the baby.

“I was devastated. I was so upset I didn’t want to leave the house and I was miserable because of my weight.

“I knew that, if I didn’t lose, it I was not going to see my children grow up.”

After Mrs Riglin's mother recommended joining Slimming World, she has never looked back.

“It’s not just dieting with Slimming World, it’s also lifestyle changes. Of course there were times when I put on weight but I knew that I just had to keep going.

“I started exercising and eating heathily. I feel wonderful now. I can run and play with my children.

“The weight loss has changed my life.”

Mrs Riglin has won a string of awards for her achievements.

So far she has collected the Hainault Community Centre’s of ‘Woman of the Year’ and Miss Slinky 2013.

She also won a Greatest Loser award at a previous Slimming World club in Surrey.

The Hainault group meets at the Manford Way community centre every Friday morning at 9.30am.
