Twenty members of staff at a supermarket are holding a festive fundraiser for a diabetes charity by climbing on gym bikes and clocking up the equivalent of the 2,019 miles between the store and Lapland.
The staff at Tesco’s supermarket in High Street, Epping, are taking part in an event at stores nationally to raise money for Diabetes UK. The challenge starts today and runs until Sunday.
The store hopes to raise £300 in public donations from the event, and has so far raised £3,000 of its target to raise £4,500 for the charity this year.
