A man has been taken to hospital after a collision between three cars.
Emergency services were called to Nazeing Road in Waltham Abbey at 1pm, where fire crews treated a 67-year-old man for chest pains.
He was then taken by ambulance to Princes Alexandra Hospital in Harlow.
The road is now closed between St Leonards Road and North Street for recovery of vehicles.
A white Mercedes Sprinter van a silver Mercedes and a green Volvo were involved in the accident.
