The Queen and the Duchess of Cornwall will visit Barkingside today to officially open the new headquarters of children's charity Barnardo's.

The royal party is expected to arrive in Tanner Lane at around 3pm. 

The Queen and Camilla, the charity's patron and president respectively, will be welcomed by Peter Brooks, acting chief executive of the charity.

As part of the royal visit, they will tour new facilities, meeting staff, volunteers, and families who have adopted and fostered vulnerable children.

The Queen and the Duchess of Cornwall will then unveil a plaque.

It will the Queen's second visit to Redbridge in two years.

In 2012, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh visited Valentines Mansion and Garden in Ilford as part of the Diamond Jubilee tour of the UK.
