Four members of a drug dealing network who trafficked heroin and cocaine have been jailed for a total of 39 years.

Adam Malik, 34, of Lyttleton Road in Leyton, Shaid Saddique, 49, of Kingsdown Road in Leytonstone and Paul Tuohy, 70, of Beachcroft Road in Leytonstone were all found guilty of conspiring to supply class A drugs following a two-week trial at the Old Bailey.

A fourth man, Saquib Mahboob, 23, of Elmwood Road in Slough previously admitted the same charge.

The court heard how in May investigators watched Malik, the head of the group, deliver around 10 kilograms of heroin to Tuohy’s flat in Leytonstone.

Shortly after Saddique arrived to pick up some of the durgs.

He then met Mahboob, a drug dealer, at a nearby pub.

When the men were arrested Mahboob had around two kilograms of heroin and several wraps of cocaine on him.

Tuohy was arrested at his home on the same day, when the remaining eight kilograms of heroin was found in a bag under his sink along with around 60 wraps of cocaine.

The drugs’ street value is thought to be  around £3million.

Malik had fled the UK and was on the run for two months before being arrested on July 12 as he entered the UK on a Eurostar train.

Last week a judge sentenced him to 15 years in prison while Saddique received 10 years.

Mahboob was sentenced to eight years and Tuohy received a seven year term.
