Market traders will be holding a special Christmas event for shoppers on Saturday.

Workers at the indoor market in Wood Street, Walthamstow, will be dressing up as Christmas-themed characters and hosting a range of acitivities for children and adults.

The event will start at noon and is expected to finish around 4pm.

In the first hour, children can 'hunt the Christmas peg' and compete in a colouring competition.

Between 1pm and 3pm, there will be fancy dress for children and a chance to meet Santa and get a free gift.

For the last hour of the event, carol singers will perform and mulled wine and mince pies will be on offer.

Didn't think Wood Street Indoor Market had any goodwill. Unfortunately a very gloomy place to go.
