London Fire Brigade's union members are set for a four-hour strike today in protest at Government reforms to pensions.
An estimated 6,000 staff are due to walkout between 6pm and 10pm, and are also set to strike tomorrow.
During the strike, firefighters will not attend grass fires, rubbish fires, animal rescues, people shut in lifts, and flooding incidents.
Today's action will be the fifth strike since the end of September.
The Government is looking to increase firefighters' retirement age from 55 to 60 and increase contributions.
