Authorities have refused to act over a junction which has seen three incidents this month.

Essex Highways will not make any alterations to the junction of Stewards Green Road, Mount Road and Coopersale Street in Fiddlers Hamlet, where a car crashed through a reinforced garden wall a week ago.

The owner of the property, Michelle Evans, had to rebuild her wall after a similar incident in July.

An Essex Highways spokesman said: “Essex Highways has looked into the collision statistics which do not meet the minimum criteria for casualty reduction measures.

“However, we will continue to monitor this location and investigate accordingly.”
