The future of one of Britain’s biggest dance music festivals is at risk.
The High Definition (HD) Festival, a summer event held at Forest Farm, in Forest Road, Ilford, will undergo a licensing review on Thursday at Ilford Town Hall.
Festival organisers have admitted to a lack of security at the entrance of the festival this year, with 900 fake tickets being used.
Residents have complained about noise levels and anti-social behaviour, causing the police to call a meeting to reconsider the festival’s licensing rules.
Redbridge police licensing officer, Sgt Dougie Fyfe, said: "We are supporting the local residents and reviewing the licence for the HD Festival due to the crime, disorder and public nuisance caused to local residents and businesses in the area."
The event is due to take place again in on July 5 next year and last year featured acts including Labyrinth and Katy B.
