Two sisters took part in a nativity fun run to raise money for people living in poverty overseas.

Catalina, 24, and sister Emily Bingham, 22, of Kings Road in Leytonstone, attended the annual event, organised by CAFOD on Clapham Common on Saturday.

The sister's joined 300 angels, wise men and shepherds to complete the 5K route.

CAFOD, the official Catholic aid agency for England and Wales, is currently helping relief efforts in the Philippines following the devastating typhoon.

Catalina said: "It’s a fun event and something different to do with friends to get in the festive spirit whilst also doing a small bit to help others."

Emily said: "It was great to see so many people dressed up and cheering each other on.

"We had a great time and it’s always good to know you’re having fun and doing something for others."
