A secondary school has hosted its annual party for senior citizens.
The event at Walthamstow School for Girls, in Church Hill, Walthamstow, took place yesterday.
Organised by the school's Assistant Head, Gemma Budgen, and run by the students, the event provided entertainment and food prepared by pupils.
Guests from sheltered accomodation, Walthamstow Almshouses, nursing homes, and elderly relations of staff and students enjoyed the school choir, orchestra, and the Year 11 steel band.
Father Christmas stopped by to give out gifts to guests and a raffle draw took place at the end of the event.
The school has been organising the event for more than 20 years.
Community Liasion Co-ordinator, Rihannon Finamore, helped Ms Budgen and the girls prepare for the party.
She said: "Our guests said it was the best party ever. This party is always a calendar highlight for us at the school.
"The visitors enjoyed the food and entertainment, and were really touched by the efforts of the girls."
