A dance music festival has had its licence revoked.

The High Definition (HD) Festival, which takes place on Forest Farm, in Forest Road, Ilford, underwent a licensing review on Thursday at Redbridge Town Hall, in High Road, supported by police and residents.

The festival attracted crime and around 900 cases of forged tickets earlier this year.

The organisers are expected to appeal the result.

The event was due to take place for a fourth year in 2014 on July 5, although its website states this is “subject to license”.

The Guardian is awaiting comment from the council.
