Flood alerts have been issued across the district as severe winds and rain hit.

The Environment Agency has issued flood alerts for towns and villages along the River Roding, including Buckhurst Hill, Loughton and Abridge.

In addition, areas surrounding Cripsey Brook including Thornwood Common, North Weald Bassett and Chipping Ongar have also been put on standby.
