Firefighters were called out to two incidents in Redbridge as a result of the heavy winds and rain last night.
A team was sent to a home in Widecombe Gardens after reports of a collapsed ceiling at 1.25am.
They were also called to a property in Yoxley Drive, Ilford, after reports of phone cables being found in a precarious position.
No injuries were reported at either incident.
The brigade received five times the normal amount of emergency calls last night across London, the majority being in south London.
A spokesman said: "Crews have been working incredibly hard throughout the night, mainly attending flooding incidents and fallen trees, as well as being called to structures such as windows, roof tiles and signs which have been left in a precarious position by the high winds.
"Thankfully though, so far, we have had no reports of any injuries.”
