A stranded motorist has been towed to safety.
A man who drove his Mercedes into a foot of flood water had to wait over an hour to be returned to dry land.
Emergency services were notified and were able to give the man a tow.
The motorist was uninjured but did suffer a long delay to his journey and wet feet to boot.
Drivers are being warned not to venture into flood waters more than 30cm deep and to take extra care on the roads.
