A nursery has been praised by Ofsted inspectors after retaining its status as a good centre for toddlers.
Chrysalis Day Nursery and Pre-School in Loughton was described as “warm and friendly” after an inspection in November.
The Church Hill centre, which provides half-day and full-day childcare for children aged three months to five years, was once again given the good rating
An inspector said: “Children and babies are motivated, keen to learn and quick to engage in play. Teaching is good as staff know children very well, confidently identify where they are in their development and effectively plan for the next steps in their learning.
This means that children make good and often very good progress. Children form secure attachments because there are good settling-in procedures and a strong key person system.”
In order to gain an outstanding rating the nursery has been told to improve access to arts and crafts materials and get a better routine at meal times.
