A yellow alert for strong winds is in place in London and the south east.
The Met Office issued the warnings after strong gales with speeds of up to 80mph were expected in some parts this morning.
Heavy rain is also expected across London in the afternoon but it is expected to become drier by the afternoon.
A yellow alert is the lowest warning grade and suggests people should be aware of potential problems.
