Essex Police has launched a new award to honour those who work to protect their community.
The Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator of the Year Awards for 2013 have been set up to crown unsung heroes across the county.
Chief Constable Stephen Kavanagh said: “Policing in Essex is all about working with the people of the county to combat crime together.
“Neighbourhood Watch is a great representation of that ethos in action and I think it’s right that we recognise the great work of the people involved.”
There are more than seven thousand volunteer co-ordinators throughout the county at present.
To nominate a co-ordinator from Epping Forest, download and complete the nomination form.
Nominations for Epping Forest should be sent to Mick Sheen, at mick@june2811.fsnet.co.uk by January 10
