The family of an autisitc man who was killed on Christmas Eve have paid tribute to an “amazing” young man.

Rodney Larsh, 20, from Chingford, went missing from a family home in Barking shortly after 10am on December 24.

Police later discovered his body at Shenfield station after he had been hit by a train.

Twenty-five-year-old Jessica Larsh and her sister Rosemary Nkestiah Larsh, 31, said they were very proud of their brother.

Jessica said:  “His Autism did not define him. He was truly special and blessed.

“He was a happy smart and an amazing young man. He loved music, swimming and travelling.”

Mr Larsh’s sisters say that they have been inundated with cards and messages of support from family, friends and strangers.

Mr Larsh, who lived Forest Haven in North Chingford, attended Whitefield school in Walthamstow and was cared for by his sisters after their mother died in 2004.

Jessica added: “The family appreciate the thoughts prayers and love that the churches have given and all the social media support and love.

"I am overwhelmed and touched by all the people on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

“People who did not know Rodney show so much love we are truly grateful. We would like to thank you all for the flowers and cards. God bless you all."
