A motorist has been charged with drink-driving after crashing on New Year’s Eve.
Daniel Ryan, 22, of Beamish Close in North Weald, drove his silver Ford Fiesta into an electricity box in Coronation Hill, in Epping, shortly after 11.30pm.
The civil engineer has also been charged with one count of failing to stop a car when required by an officer, one count of driving while under the influence of alcohol and one count of being in possession of a Class B drug after being stopped in Tower Road, Epping, on December 21.
Mr Ryan is now on police bail until January 22 when he is due to appear in Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court.
