A Christmas collection raised more than £1,400 for local charities
Chingford Rotary Club raised more than £1,400 during collections over the Christmas period.
On December 16 and 17 the club received £532 from generous shoppers at Tesco in Highams Park, while on December 21 and 22 the club raised a further £884 at Morrisons off Chingford Road in Chingford.
The money will go towards children's and education charities, as well as helping food banks.
The 80-year-old club meets every Tuesday at Gillwell Park in Chingford
