A man has been charged in connection with the Chigwell stabbing of a teen.

Audian appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates Court yesterday and has been remanded in custody. He is due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on March 17.

The incident took place on December 9 when the boy, from Plaistow in East London, was found on a grass verge at the junction of Limes Avenue and Westmede in Chigwell shortly before 9pm.

He had suffered a stab wound to his leg. Police have said he remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.
