A female courier suffered what police describe as life-changing injuries during an attempted car-jacking.
The 44-year-old was knocked to the ground as a man tried to steal her white Fiat Diablo delivery van and a parcel in Brancepeth Gardens, Buckhurst Hill at 2.25pm on December 21.
Her hand was then caught under the wheel of her van as the robber drove away.
She has undergone surgery and has been discharged from hospital, but will require further operations in the future, police say.
The robber abandoned the van after colliding with a curb and fled in a white van parked in nearby Whitehall Lane.
The robber is described as white, aged about 20, and was wearing a grey hooded top and grey tracksuit bottoms.
No arrests have been made and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
