A driver was hit by two cars after being thrown from his Porsche when he crashed into a tree.
The 39-year-old from Loughton collided with the tree in Goldings Hill, Loughton, at 10.40pm yesterday.
He was then thrown from the vehicle and struck by a BMW and a Volkswagon Golf travelling in the opposite direction.
His injuries are described as serious but not life-threeatening.
No-one else was injured.
