A flood alert issued for the middle River Roding remains in place as more rain is expected throughout the morning.
Areas susceptible to flooding include Abridge, Loughton and Buckhurst Hill.
The Environment Agency say water levels are starting to fall, however it still remains high and has overflowed in some locations.
A yellow weather warning in place across London and the south east was issued by the Met Office yesterday evening and will remain in place until 6am on Wednesday.
