A rapist has been jailed for five-and-a-half-years.

Michael Wilson, 32, of Grange Road in Plaistow, attacked a woman after she became seperated from her boyfriend on a night out.

Wilson was also serve a concurrent three month jail term for possession of class A diamorphine.  

Earlier this year, Wilson was found by police half naked in a car with the victim in Leytonstone.

Earlier the victim, in her 20s, and her boyfriend had been at a Shoreditch nightclub when they became separated.

Police had pulled over the car after it was spotted driving erratically.

Also in the vehicle was Ahmed Quras, of Shrewsbury Road in East Ham.

Quras had been found not guilty of aiding and abetting rape, but will serve a total of seven months in prison for drink-driving and driving while disqualified.

Wilson was found guilty of rape at Snaresbrook Crown Court on November 13, and back in July, Wilson pleaded guilty to possession of class A diamorphine, and class B cannabis. 

Wilson received a caution for possession of cannabis during the sentencing at Snaresbrook Crown Court yesterday.
