A private hospital has “welcomed” the suspension of an agency nurse who failed its patients during a night shift.
This week, the Nursing and Midwifery Council suspended Titus Ogunjimni for placing urine next to a patient’s breakfast and leaving soiled incontinence pads on a chair at Holly House Hospital in Buckhurst Hill.
A spokesman for the hospital claims that it was their permanent staff who reported Mr Ogunjimni.
He said: “We welcome the response of the Nursing and Midwifery Council in regard to the suspension of Mr Ogungimni following our reporting of concerns regarding his practice.
“Mr Ogunjinmi worked with us on one occasion during which we observed several incidents in which he failed to maintain the high standards of nursing that the NMC and we expect from our staff.
“We continue to ensure that only high quality, competent nurses work with us and note the NMC upheld our concerns.”
