An ex-Labour councillor who admitted stealing nearly £100,000 from a charity is due to be sentenced today.
Between May 29 2012 and August last year Geoff Hammond, 50, was executive officer of The Fellowship of St John Trust Association.
He committed fraud through abuse of position at the charity and stole £99,493.
Hammond, of Sollershott East in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, will appear at Southwark Crown Court later today.
He had represented the Higham Hill ward since May 2010 but stood down in November after an investigation was launched.
The Fellowship of St John Trust Association runs educational projects in the UK and abroad.
