Parking restrictions are being considered after parents are said to be walking their children in the road.
Later this month the Environment and Heritage Committee of Loughton Town Council will consider asking the North Essex Parking Partnership to ban parking on one side of Forest View Road in the town because of dangerous drivers.
It was brought to the attention of the council that people are parking across pavements, forcing children to walk in the road before and after school.
The committee will consider asking the NEPP to suspend parking between 8.30am and 4pm along one side.
