A tattoo studio found an unusual way to raise money for charity.
Ouch in Highbridge Street, Waltham Abbey, offered tattoos including the number 13 for £13 on Friday December 13 and gave all proceeds to Tommy’s, a charity funding research into still birth, miscarriage and premature birth.
Andrew Cifuentes Davis, 36, who has worked at Ouch since June last year, said: “We all wanted to contribute to a charity which was close to our hearts.
“We get a lot of customers coming in and getting tattoos to celebrate births but some customers come back and tell us they have lost their children so we wanted to do something to support them.
“I’m a father of two and other staff have children too so we know how much kids mean to their parents.”
Staff did the same in September and managed to make over £2,000 for the same cause and will repeat the event on June 13.
