A 14-year-old is one of three more people arrested over a New Year’s Day assault which resulted in a man having his eye removed due to his injuries.

The boy and two more men, aged 18 and 19, were arrested on Wednesday and questioned about the attack in the McDonald's restaurant in Hoe Street, Walthamstow, at 8am on New Year's Day.

They were all bailed until late January pending further enquiries.

Two other men have been charged in connection with the assault.

Kingsley Gordon-Allen, 20, of Ashville Road in Leytonstone, was arrested on January 2 and charged the next day with wounding with intent and possessing cannabis with intent to supply.

Ashton King, 21, of Boundary Road in Walthamstow, was arrested on January 5 and charged yesterday with wounding with intent, handling stolen goods and possessing cannabis with intent to supply.
