Calls to extend 15 minutes free parking to half an hour
A petition has been launched by Chingford and Woodford Green Conservatives to extend the current 15 minutes free parking.
Hale End ward councillors are calling on residents of Highams Park and Larkswood Road to support a petition to extend the 15 minutes free parking introduced in 2012 to 30 minutes free parking.
Cllr Darshan Singh Sunger said it is "vital that local residents are able to pick up a perscription from a doctor's or have a quick coffee without constantly worrying about getting a ticket."
"We need to do all we can to support local residents and local businesses."
